Love blooms with the right care. Over half of the couple’s meeting with me have one of the partners coming out as transgender. Spouses’ Group is my popular and supportive group for cis spouses of trans mates in couples who have a strong love and desire to stay through the transition. Besides event based need for support, couples (any age, any gender identity) also seek relief from gridlock arguments or avoidance of communicating challenging topics, from lost connection -feeling lonely in your relationship, or from painfully broken trust matters, yet often don’t have an advanced trained marriage specialist to turn to. If you need support to navigate transition as a couple, or are ready to make healthy relationships a priority-and want a way to get the deeper understanding and validation from your mate where trust can grow and love blooms, there are high quality, reliable tools available in 90 minute sessions to get the weeds out and get you where you want to be.

As a licensed counselor in CA and OR, with advanced training from the Gottman Institute (the world’s leading research on couples), my input is gleaned from what successful couples do, giving you real tools for real people. Visit my Relationship Gardening website for more information.

Over 20 years in the counseling field with addictions, grief work, county social work for drug-involved families, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, LGBTQi affirming, and couples’ emphasis. Member of National Registry of Marriage Friendly Therapists, Recommended by dearpeggy.com, Daystar Education, and participant in the Rethinking Psychiatry think tank for non-pathologizing and non-medication alternatives for mental health in Portland, Oregon.
